Dr. Adhia is triple-Board-Certified in Forensic Psychiatry, Brain Injury Medicine, and Psychiatry. He assesses emotional distress and mental health injuries as well as brain injury. Triggers considered are personal injury, undue influence, changed competency, medical malpractice, physical and emotional abuse, violence, and criminal behavior.
An internationally recognized leader in the integration of neurology, psychiatry, neurosurgery, and neuropsychology, his research interests include the cognitive and behavioral consequences of neurologic and psychiatric diseases, brain dysfunction in violent and criminal behavior, frontal lobe functions including insight, judgment, empathy, self-awareness, social adaptation, memory disorders and and dementias, complex decision-making, fraud, and undue influence.
Dr. Stephanie Tabashneck is a forensic psychologist and attorney. She is a Senior Fellow in Law and Applied Neuroscience at the Center for Law, Brain and Behavior at Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School and the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Harvard Law School. Dr. Edersheim has performed a wide variety of forensic evaluations in both civil and criminal settings, including evaluations of competencies to stand trial, testamentary capacity, the capacity to make medical decisions, fitness for duty, the assessment of emotional damages, diminished capacity and criminal responsibility. She is a principal lecturer in the forensic psychiatry fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and teaches forensic psychiatry to adult psychiatry residents at Massachusetts General and McLean Hospitals.
