EVENT DESCRIPTION
The second installment of our Trial Tales series will feature NPAP member Tim Bechtold. In this presentation Tim will discuss the $27.75 M verdict in favor of his client who was assaulted in a Corecivic facility in Shelby, Montana. Tim will talk about how he prepared for trial, combatted a common defense theory in prison cases, and presented his request for damages to the jury.
ABOUT the SPEAKER(S)
Tim Bechtold grew up on a dairy farm, graduated from Harvard College and then earned an MS and JD with high honors from the University of Montana. He clerked for Hon. Donald Molloy at the District of Montana for two years, then entered private practice with Rossbach Brennan in 2002. He established the Bechtold Law Firm in 2008 in Missoula, Montana, and has been a solo practitioner ever since. His practice focuses on environmental and civil rights law.

ACCREDITATION
This event is accredited for 1.5 general credit hours with the State Bar of California (NPAP is a multiple activity provider with the State Bar of CA).
Most attendees should be able to self-report for CLE credit to their own state bars, and in instances where a state bar requires that the event sponsor report on behalf of attendees, NPAP is happy to assist.
RECORDING
The event will be recorded and the recording will be available to attendees after the event. However, attendees will only be elligible for CLE credit for the portions of the event that they attended live. Retroactive viewing of recordings will not be elligible for CLE credit, as NPAP does not have a means of validating attendee participation in this circumstance.
