EVENT DESCRIPTION
Please join us for an installment of our "lunch with an expert series." This CLE presentation will feature Dr. Ryan Herrington, a correctional medicine expert. Dr. Herrington specializes in mental health treatment for incarcerated people and will give you tips and tactics on how to effectively prove deliberate indifference and ADA violations in your next jail or prison case.
ABOUT the SPEAKER(S)
Dr. Ryan Herrington is double board-certified in Public Health and Addiction Medicine. Having worked as a correctional medicine doctor in Florida, Maine, Vermont, Ohio and Washington state, he is both a seasoned correctional clinician and an experienced healthcare administrator. In addition, he has completed trained in expert witness work, and has solid understanding of the legal concepts of negligence and deliberate indifference.
Dr. Herrington has extensive experience in depositions and report-writing, having served as an expert witness in plaintiff and defense cases for over a decade. He strives to use a sound and consistent methodology when analyzing a case; his reports are thorough, accurate, evidence-based, and effective at communicating his opinions and educating the triers of fact.

ACCREDITATION
This event is accredited for 1.00 general credit hour with the State Bar of California (NPAP is a multiple activity provider with the State Bar of CA).
Most attendees should be able to self-report for CLE credit to their own state bars, and in instances where a state bar requires that the event sponsor report on behalf of attendees, NPAP is happy to assist.
RECORDING
The event will be recorded and the recording will be available to attendees after the event. However, attendees will only be elligible for CLE credit for the portions of the event that they attended live. Retroactive viewing of recordings will not be elligible for CLE credit, as NPAP does not have a means of validating attendee participation in this circumstance.
